What am I working on?

Like most writers, give me a scrap of paper and a pen and I’ll start scribbling. Here’s a glance at what I’m currently working on.

A Distant Drum (working title)

A short Christmas ghost story set in a houseboat on the Norfolk Broads. Currently in the redrafting stages.

No, Fen, No! (not so much a working title as it is my constant mental commentary as I write)

Light-hearted contemporary fantasy romp set in modern London, involving a cranky selkie policeman, an irrepressible dragon of finance, and the hunt for stolen treasure.

Rebellion

Pirates! And a dragon, a vengeful selkie, and the rising of the Ala Isles against their demon king. Sequel to Recovery. Very much on hold, I’m afraid 😦

I can hardly wait! Your worldbuilding is great and the characters even better. More, more, more!

Thank you. I’m buried under a heap of day job deadlines at the moment, but shall be hitting my stride with the writing again soon. I’m hoping to get the first draft of Resistance done by mid-February.

I am completely in love with your writing! Reawakening and The Lodestar of Ys are now one of my favorite books of all time. I love those couples to death. You are immensely talented so please continue writing such lovely stories. I can’t wait for Resistance. I am also wondering who will be the main couple of that story?

Thank you 😀 I’m glad you enjoyed them so much. Resistance is going to be about the Dual God of Tiallat (who appeared very briefly at the end of Reawakening) and the dragon Halsarr, who were lovers before the dragons went to sleep.
